Rev. Short was born in Louisville, KY to Jessie Beatrice Grimes-Kinzer & James Walker Kinzer. She is the youngest of five siblings, married, and has two sons and two grandchildren. Rev. Short studied under the Full Gospel Fellowship, received her Ministry license under Dr. A. Russell Awkard and was ordained in 2013 after continuous studies.
Aubrey continues to serve others as a Speaker for various Women’s Conferences; Asst. Coordinator for the Intl. Full Gospel Conference; Armor Bearer; Second Vice-Chair for the General Association of Baptists Pastors and Ministers Wives and Widows; Board member of Beacon International Ministries, Inc.; Secretary for the Messengers for Christ; Chaplain & Chairperson of Activities with Smoketown Originals, Inc.; Hosts a Women’s Bible Study Class; Member of Women in Ministry, Inc. (a National Organization for Women Pastors, Bishops and Ministers); and Board Member of the Ed Hamilton Studio. Rev. Short is also a Kentucky Colonel.
Rev. Short holds a Bachelor of Arts in Social Science with Education Concentration as an Honors Graduate (Magna Cum Laude) and a Master’s degree in Organizational Management & Leadership. Aubrey’s mission is to continue Praying, Serving, Laughing, and Loving the life that God has granted.

Rhonda Washington-Mathies is a social justice/civil rights advocate for over 30 years. She is a community leader and grass-roots organizer. Rhonda was born and raised in Smoketown. She graduated from Louisville Central High School. Rhonda also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work. Rhonda has received numerous community awards for her service in uplifting the city of Louisville! Rhonda is a widow. She is the mother of two daughters, Dr. LaRhondolyn Mathies and Dr. Mikal Sanders and the grandmother of three. Mrs. Mathies is also a member of the Smoketown Originals, Inc. Board of Directors.

Mrs. Brenda Shelby was born on October 11, 1954 at 726 East Jacob Street, in the heart of Smoketown. She attended Elizabeth G. Breckenridge Elementary School, Jackson Jr. High School and graduated from Louisville Male High School in 1972. Brenda loves to cook, bake, play bingo and spending time with family and friends.

GREGORY SUTTON, a/k/a “Scrappy”, is a native Louisvillian, straight out of Smoketown. He attended Booker T. Washington Elementary School and resided in the Sheppard Square Housing Project. Mr. Sutton left Louisville for approximately twenty years (twelve of those years were spent in the military).
Mr. Sutton spent three years in the state of Texas. Greg states that, "He is thrilled to be a part of Smoketown Originals, Inc.!"

Min. Glenda D. Newton-White was raised in the Sheppard Square Housing Projects, living right next door to the Bates Memorial Baptist Church. She attended Booker T Washington Elementary School & Jackson Jr. High School, graduating from Central High. Glenda attended the University of Louisville, California State - Dominguez Hills, Jefferson Community College, and finally graduating from Spalding University with a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW). Min. Newton-White returned to the University of Louisville and earned a Masters in Social Work (MSW) at age 60. Glenda joined Bates Memorial Baptist Church where she currently serves a an ordained Deacon, Decision Counselor - Coordinator of the RUSH Ministry!! She is a 25 year member of a 12 Step Program. Glenda has one Son, Edward Newton, Jr. , a grandson Davon Newton & lots of God's children. She lost the love of her life, James White on Feb 26, 2019. She retired from Fresenius Kidney Care and is working Part Time. Praise God for whom all blessings flow!
